Mike Horn Shark Research Project

We implanted satellite tags in over 20 sevengill sharks over the course of the project

Understanding shark movement and location is a central component of effective conservation strategies. In many cases, policy makers have been unable to conserve threatened sharks due to the lack of appropriate data on shark movements and behaviors, data which tagging and tracking work can provide.

The project took place aboard the Mercedes-Benz sponsored expedition sailing yacht Pangaea with world-renowned explorer Mike Horn and his crew.
